About me
Josetta Thomae, PhD, is a clinical service provider, educator, reflective practice specialist, holistic health coach, and lifelong learner who has been working with youth and families for over fifteen years in a variety of capacities. Having worked in fields including Early Intervention, the public school system, and a juvenile detention setting, she has developed a universal understanding of childhood development, the potential impact/effects of early insecure attachments, global development, and the public service offerings for youth and families in need. Her holistic health coaching certification and work has also provided her with a unique capacity to help build self-awareness and self-care skills for those who work in education or human services and are at high risk for secondary trauma and burnout.She earned her degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in mental health and developmental disorders from Fielding Graduate University, where her concentration was Reflective Practice and Supervision, and she is a certified holistic health coach through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She has trained or conducted presentations to a variety of professionals, including topics such as early childhood development, trauma and resilience in early childhood, recognizing and responding to developmental delays in an early childhood classroom setting, workplace wellness, and self-care. She has also taught classes about exceptionalities and service modalities at three universities. She is the spouse of a recently retired Navy veteran and the proud mother of two creative children.
